Based somewhere coastal in North East Scotland.

Artist, writer, poet, general layabout. Bea Hawkes is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice is informed by emotion and relationships. Her work spans visual and tactile forms, exploring themes of memory, identity, and emotional inheritance.

Drawing from personal experience, her work tells stories that exist somewhere between chaos and care. Her work embraces the messy, the unresolved, and the evitable.

Through fragmented narratives and skewed tension, she creates pieces that invites viewers to feel something familiar, even if they can't quite name what that is.

When not creating Hawkes can be found near the sea, daydreaming, overthinking, and staring intently as if it might answer her back.
